Helping to save lives for over 55 years. Award-winning Marine Safety equipment. British designed and manufactured on the Isle of Wight.
SeaSafe Systems has been helping to make time on the water safer for over 55 years, manufacturing inflatable marine lifesaving clothing and products to the highest standards of quality and safety. We pride ourselves on 100% of those products being designed and produced in our purpose-built factory in Cowes, Isle of Wight where we still make our products by hand which are then thoroughly tested by the latest techniques.
SeaSafe products appeal to both professional and recreational sailors and we have specific products and product ranges aimed at satisfying the differing requirements of the commercial and leisure sectors.
SeaSafe is best known for the manufacture of Inflatable Marine Pilot Coats which contain an integrated lifejacket system with numerous bespoke safety features which are probably worn by more Maritime Pilots and Harbour Masters worldwide than any other brand.
We are also the only UK manufacturer of bespoke life jackets - our innovation and attention to detail meant the team at SeaSafe were able to patent them as a new concept in 2010. The new i-ZIP and Pro Zips were born and feature, alongside the highest levels of safety features, an interchangeable zip-off cover of any fabric the customer requests from family tartans to Union Jacks and even sweet wrapper and toy designs for children.
The passion for innovation at SeaSafe is visible in safety features such as NFC, hi-end reflective materials and easy-inflate design systems. More recently we have diversified into the manufacturing of inflatable seat bladders and are now a recognised manufacturer in the world of Shock Mitigation products, supplying bespoke products to organisations from the MOD, the Emergency Services, marine safety charities and RIB manufacturers.
We constantly introduce new products to the world market, such as our award-winning Hypo Hoist range of Man Overboard Systems to which we recently added the new FastNet Hoist for dayboats and race support boats. Along with the newest addition in the Vision garment range incorporating the unique SeaSafe self-inflating, self-righting lifejacket system.
Safety is at the core of SeaSafe and British-designed and made is at the heart of our ethos. Batch-registered in Cowes, all products can be individually traced back to their inception, ensuring servicing and maintenance of products for our customers is comprehensive and product life is optimised for safety and peace of mind. We will have been manufacturing for 60 years in 2026 and intend to continue helping to ensure safety on the water for many more years to come with many new innovations already in design. Jeremy Dale, CEO, was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the Nautical Institute, and lifetime membership of the UKMPA for outstanding contribution to marine standards with Philip Wake, CEO of the Nautical Institute at the time commenting that the work of sea pilots had been made safer due to SeaSafe products. Jeremy was also recognised for his services to marine safety by receiving an OBE in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours. As ambassadors for the RNLI, safety at sea and innovation are core tenets of the ethos of our company.
We welcome visitors and customers to our factory showroom to see the small product display, to try on garments and see some of the products in action. We are a fully approved MCA service station offering full life jacket servicing, equipped for all makes and we are now one of only two servicing centres in the UK certificated to service the Ocean Signal range of MOBs, PLBs and EPIRBs. Our extensive range of safety-at-sea products is available to purchase at seasafe.co.uk and all customers in the UK buy direct from us so there are no wholesaler or retailer mark- ups to inflate the prices.
