IFPL Group is an award-winning electronics company specialising in the design and manufacture of aircraft interiors products which enhance the travel experience for passengers. From two facilities on the Isle of Wight, the team produce innovative solutions which fly on commercial aircraft across the globe.
Founded by Isle of Wight native Geoff Underwood and originally known as Inflight Peripherals, IFPL Group has been proudly serving the aircraft interiors industry for over 25 years. A trusted partner to many leading global manufacturers and airlines, IFPL Group today provides the largest portfolio of proven in- flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) products and services in the sector, alongside solutions which bring reliable and high-quality light, power, and audio to aircraft interiors. Though the group’s focus is on delivering products which enhance the aircraft cabin and deliver an outstanding passenger experience, the team also design products to make life easier for crew and more profitable for operators. In 2021, IFPL Group acquired fellow specialist aerospace design and production company, Cobalt Aerospace. Among other products, Cobalt Aerospace brings award-winning mood lighting system Cobalt Spectrum to IFPL Group’s portfolio of interior innovations.
Both IFPL and Cobalt Aerospace are honoured to be Queen’s Awards for Enterprise winners, holding a total of five prestigious awards for innovation and international trade between the two companies. The group values sustainability, using local suppliers wherever possible and developing solutions that reduce aircraft weight and fuel consumption.
Although IFPL Group’s products are distributed all over the world, the whole team is passionate about giving back to their community on the Isle of Wight. IFPL Group is also proud to support WightAID, a local foundation backing charitable projects on the island through the provision of regular grants.
